Custom Google Map Tiles part 2/2: Slicing the tiles and creating the HTML

Time to create a Custom Tiled Google Map from out previous created World of Warcraft map. We'll do 3 maps in this tutorial. Starting with an easy of GTASA (Grand Theft Auto Sanandreas), then we'll make it a bit harder and make a Guild Wars map. After that we'll make a World of Warcraft map out of 4 parts. Below are the images needed for each map. With the GTASA I'll take you by hand over each step so you can get familier with the steps and give a short explanation of what each option/handling does. World of Warcraft Gold (A bfrief history of NoGold.org and how I got involved)

For me this started all in the early days when gold sellers started to spam and bugged me to death with it. With Adsense ads on my site I soon found out that Gold Seller adds where showing on my site. So I started adding them to the Adsense blacklist. After a while I filtered out all (for that moment) sites and placed the first version of my list on my blog. After a while I ran into NoGold.org (the old site), at that time it wasn't really much used and irony was that they got spammed on their forums by gold sellers all the time. Last year when Rollie from WarCraftRealms.com took over the Azzor.com network I got the change to make something out of it. Rollie installed a WP install and at first we had a simple default list of sites. After some months when more and more people become active on the site the list grew and we even had to create a second list of currently active sites on Google's Adsense . And now Blizzard finaly made a statement on the official World of Warcraft websites.

Re: HD-DVD Key Google Bom

As I said in my last message I would follow the google bomb. It has progressed from 20.000 somthing pages to over 1.5M now. Maybe in time, since the big explosion just happend and there is a good change google is still indexing pages, that it will raising to 3M or 4 M. I'll keep everyone posted :D.

HD-DVD Key Google Bom

So the HD-DVD Key has (09-F9-11-02-9D-74-E3-5B-D8-41-56-C5-63-56-88-C0) been cracked and is currently Google bombed. Found out after reading kikr's post. At the moment I'm writing this post the current number of pages that Google finds is 21,800 but it will surely by way more in the future! We'll see what happens in the next few days. Surely Google will pick this bomb sometime soon.

This is my first Google Bomb I'm aware of in a soon stage so it will be very interesting for me to follow this closely and see how it progresses!

EDIT: Yahoo! seems to find alot more pages, 134,000.

Google gone mad

Well it seems like google gone mad. When I used the standard FF search bar in the upper richt I got that >_<. It seems google.com just blocks when you do a search without using hl=en as argument. A example. The URL http://www.google.com/search?q=forumstyles gives an error. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=forumstyles does work fine. An extra side note that http://www.google.com/search?q=forumstyles&hl=en also doesn't work. So it seems to look like it google wants you to use a very strickt pattern of arguments in your URL to perform a search.
