Northrend and Instances added plus a little speed upgrade
2 days ago the instances from Atlasmod.com were added to the maps system (with permission from Dan). When I'm finished with posting this message I'll add the location information to the database so they show up tomorrow on the zones tag pages.
Northrend was added yesterday in an attempt to find out whats the best way to add the new continent when it comes out. (You can view Northrend here .) After toying around I found the best way is to create a transparent mega tile (like the ones used in my tutorial). Then place Northrend on it in the center top. Set up the script so it overlaps both normal Azeroth continent megatiles for 50% each and let it save to a different directory then the normal tiles. Then use a little PHP script to merge the tiles and prep it.
3rd a minor speed upgrade has been introduced for the tiles. The system will compare a PNG and a JPG version in size and send the smallest one back to the browser. On a side note preparations have been added to the code for dynamic marker loading.
